Back to basics: Proč omezujeme kolekce a proč je to důležité?

Back to Basics: Why Do We Limit Collections, and Why Is It Important?

You know that feeling when you fall in love with a brand or a product that you'd happily keep buying, but it's no longer available because collections change rapidly. Current styles or materials are different, and you end up with dozens of bad purchases in your closet. That's why we decided to focus on basic pieces that we offer continuously, and that will last you more than one season.

What Makes Up the Basics of Your Wardrobe?

Basic, essentials... call them what you like. But the point is to find basic pieces that you can easily combine with most of your other clothing and wear them consistently. You may pay a higher upfront cost for a quality addition to your wardrobe, but the cost per wear for such a basic item should be minimal.

Your essentials should be "made to last," meaning they are made to endure. While this label is used in the marketing of many fast fashion chains, we make products with the idea of keeping them in our collection for as long as possible. You should be able to come back to your favorite pieces, buy them in different colors or sizes.

Dozens of new collections vs. a steady offering

Have you ever found yourself thinking about buying a new item, but a week later, you couldn't find it in the store? It doesn't mean it's sold out; it was just moved elsewhere and replaced by a new collection, of which there can be dozens in fast fashion chains every year.

Our shopping behavior has adapted to this model. Since we know that we won't repeatedly buy the same thing, we don't pay as much attention to the selection process. In a few weeks or months, we go shopping again and are lured by new items.

Let's shift our shopping behavior from quantity to quality and sustainability. Let's pay more attention to selecting individual pieces, verify if they truly fit us and can withstand daily wear. Whether it's the right basic piece for us can only be determined over time, so it's important that you can come back to it, buy it in different colors, or even different sizes.

What Have We Done About It?

Basic colors:

We've focused on basic colors that are easy to mix and match with each other and with other pieces in your wardrobe. That's why you'll find mostly black, khaki, beige, gray, cream, and other basics.

Precise cuts:

We fine-tune the cuts of all our pieces to fit all body types and be as comfortable as possible. That's the only way you'll become friends with them and wear them every day.

Recently, we've slightly adjusted the cut of our sweatpants, men's boxers, as well as women's bras and boxers, for example.

Quality materials:

We also care about materials that are not only extra comfortable but also durable and long-lasting. For example, you can now find our bedding in two new colors, Light Blue and Grey – both made from 100% organic cotton percale.

And if you're looking for something to keep you warm in the fall, it's our organic cotton sweatshirts, available in 3 beautiful basic colors.

Of course, you can still look forward to new collections of colors and patterns, such as Christmas or Valentine's limited editions. However, these make up a smaller part of our offering. So, will you join us in going back to basics?
